Onesto’s first foals are born!
The Haras d’Etreham is pleased to announce the birth of the first foals by the Gr.1-winning son of Frankel, Onesto.
The Haras de Saint-Julien, closely followed by the Haras de Bourgeauville and Coulonces Sales, set the ball rolling for Onesto, welcoming strong foals with great poise. Anna Sundstrom commented on the foal born at Coulonces, “She is a high-quality filly, very correct, with plenty of size and a pretty and expressive head. She is easy to handle and I am delighted with her, as are her owners who will certainly keep her.”
Along the same lines, Louis Baudron added: "We are very pleased with Villanelle’s filly by Onesto. She is elegant, well-balanced and displays excellent quality."

Other early foals for Onesto include a filly out of Motivation born at the Haras des Capucines. The dam, by Muhtathir, has already produced Gr.1 winner and multiple Gr.1 placed ROCKEMPEROR. Eric Puerari was highly enthusiastic and pleased with his four Onesto foals, stating: "We have had two colts and two fillies and we are delighted with them. They are very well-balanced, just like their sire, with strong physiques and refined heads. The Frankel influence is not too pronounced and they are all foals with great presence, good conformation and plenty of character.” The Haras des Capucines also welcomed a colt out of a daughter of Zamindar whose first offspring won the Gr.3 Prix Penelope and finished third in the Gr.2 Prix de la Nonette, and a filly who is the niece of two black-type horses including Gr.1 victrix ODELIZ. Eric Puerari expressed his enthusiasm and satisfaction for these three foals by Onesto.

Recently at the Haras d’Etreham, Lady Glenham, a sister of dual Gr.1 scorer RUSSIAN CAMELOT, gave birth to a filly by Onesto.
With a high-quality first book composed of 120 mares, Onesto will be represented by around 100 foals this year, including the progeny of 62 sisters of 100 Stakes performers, 26 dams of black-type individuals, and 23 black-type mares, of which over a third achieved this status as a juvenile, and 13 are Stakes winners.
